Measure your life by love

(a) to Jesus

1. measure your love by the number of times your lovingly think of Jesus during your day

2. measure your love by the degree of hunger you have to read His Word.

3. measure your love for Jesus by the number of things in your life that you adjust because you long to please Him.

4. What are the little ways you try to bless others because of your love for Jesus. e.g. smile at others.

5. What more can you do today to show your love to Jesus ?

(b) To Christians

1. measure your love by the joy you have in thinking of your brothers and sisters in Christ

3. measure you love by your willingness to overlook the failures, mistakes, weaknesses, and shortcomings of your brothers and sisters.

3. measure your love by your refusal to repeat rumors about fellow Christians unless there is genuine proof and a real need that this information be passed on.

4. measure your love by your looking for ways to be a blessing to fellow believers.

(c) to the unsaved

1. by your hunger for the salvation of the unsaved.

2. by the extent to which you seek for their salvation

3. by your intercession for them

 

Measure your life by communion and intercession

 

Measure your life by joy

1. measure your fellowship with God by your joy in the Lord

2. measure your spiritual fellowship by your sings to the Lord.

3. measure your spiritual power by your joy. (where there is faith , there is joy)

4. measure your fullness of the spirit by your joy.

 

Measure your life by your faith

1. by the depth of your trust.

2. by your obedience

3. by your vision

4. by your outflowing streams

5. by your initiative

6. by your ability to persevere.

7. by your ability to praise in spite of

 

Measure your life by humility

1. by your sense of unworthiness of God's goodness and grace.

2. by your sense of dependence upon God.

3. by your giving all the glory to the God

4. by your holy inward response in the face of affront, indignity, and insult.

5. by your joy in doing anything and being anything for God and others.

 

Measure your life by obedience

1. by how quickly you obey.

2. by how gladly you obey

3. by how faithfully you obey

4. by how humbly you obey

5. by your motive

6. by how total it is

 

Measure your life by guidance

1. measure your nearness to God by your guidance

2. measure your sensitiveness to God by your guidance

3. measure your sensitivity to God by your guidance in the small details of your life and witness

(not action, but guided action)

4. measure the frequency of guidance in your spiritual lifestyle

5. measure the frequency of the Spirit's guidance in more secular or mundane activities

6. measure your guidance by the frequency of those occasions when after an event is over you recognize that God truly guided you.

7. measure your guidance by the extent to which it becomes your daily lifestyle.

 

Measure your life by your words

1. How many times does the spirit prompt you to speak to someone, or guide you in speaking words of blessing

2. What percent of your words are loving, helpful and encouraging to others

3. What percent of your comments about other people are positive and appreciative rather than negative ?

4. What percent of your conversations are cheerful,. full of faith, and hope inspiring rather than gloomy, fearful, and hesitant.

Into what percent of your longer conversations do you bring a reference to Jesus, God's goodness, or Scripture ?

6. Do your conversations reveal you to be gracious and sociable or silent and withdrawing ?

7. What percent of your conversations are constructive and edifying?

 

Measure your life by your thoughts

- your response you your thoughts

- think of praiseworthy things about people, not critical thoughts and condemn other people.

- the memories you cherish about the former neighbors, coworkers and friends

- from material things to the thought of HIM.

- with thoughts of joyful expectation , trust and praise, not fear for the future

- forget the praise from others, forget my own good deeds and remember the good deeds of others

- self-denial in luxuries and comforts

- not a carnal self-life

- think, pray, plan supernaturally and expect great things from God.
